Hiragana Pro provides a fun way to learn hiragana, one of two syllabaries in the Japanese language. While aimed at beginners, more experienced users can also use Hiragana Pro to freshen up their skills.
The goal of the app is to help you become familiarized with the symbols. We accomplish this by introducing only a few symbols at a time, and repeating those randomly until you have identified them enough times. At that point, we will introduce another set of symbols. This process is repeated until you have mastered all the characters.
Many users have reported learning the 46 basic characters very quickly, some in as little as 20-30 minutes. As a developer, nothing makes me feel better than knowing I was able to help you accomplish your goals effectively. Hiragana Pro will no doubt be just one stop on your journey to Japanese mastery (if you choose to pursue it), but I am thankful to play a part in that journey.
The feedback for Hiragana Pro has been overwhelmingly positive thus far. Here are a few things people have said:
★ <b>"Best way to learn hiragana.."</b> <i>- Shan Kavi</i>
★ <b>"Super helpful and actually makes learning fun."</b> <i>- William Alachiotis</i>
★ <b>"..really speeds up learning."</b> <i>- Marcelo Soares</i>
★ <b>"An absolutely fantastic learning tool."</b> <i>- Rachel Seagroatt</i>
We hope that you have a positive experience with Hiragana Pro as well! Best of luck on your journey to Japanese mastery!
<b>Next Steps:</b> When you feel confident in your ability to identify the hiragana characters, the next step would be to learn how to write them. Though it may not appear to be important, there is actually a correct stroke order in which each character is written. Typically, it is from top-left to bottom-right, but may vary depending on the character. While we do not currently provide stroke order in this app, it is a feature we intend to add later, either directly in Hiragana Pro, or in our new app Kana Dojo.</br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br></br>
